The SOC 2 framework was developed by the American Institute of CertifiedPublic Accountants (AICPA) to evaluate how service organizations safeguardcustomer information and operate critical systems. A SOC 2 Type I reportexamines the design of an organization’s controls at a specific point in time,confirming that the controls in scope are appropriately designed to meetapplicable Trust Services Criteria.
